Frank’s faves like the Chicken Fiesta with fajita chicken, jalapeños, queso, black olives, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, green peppers, and Pesto sauce are all on the menu; the Scrumptious Supreme with pepperoni, hamburger, sausage, green peppers, tomatoes, black olives, mushrooms, and onions; and the Chicken Special with chicken instead of the aforementioned meats in the Scrumptious Supreme. The tacos are delicious, which is enough in and of itself. But the fact is that their tortillas are homemade in-house, their chicken and corn are slow-roasted in-house, and their sorbets and margaritas are made with fresh fruits. It's like getting a bonus track from your favorite artist. Maybe the best part is the crazy combos that are insanely delicious like the Cuban Pig with gruyere cheese, slow-roasted pulled pork, and shaved ham; the Tuna Poke with ginger-soy vinaigrette, avocado, and seaweed salad; and the Barbacoa Egg Frittata with shredded wagyu brisket, corn, pico, queso fresco, salsa verde, cilantro, and hibiscus on a corn tortilla. Finally, taco time doesn’t have to end so ridiculously early.

Sky high sandwiches and matzoh ball soup. I mean that’s all that really has to be said. Jewish delis equal the best eats to cure whatever ails you from cold to hangover to everything in between. In case you’re not a classic deli kind of person, there’s no need to worry. Katz’s menu is enormous, complete with burgers, pasta, breakfast, and even “low kal” choices. With two locations in the city, in Montrose and The Heights, you are in good hands when you dine at Katz’s!

Fondly referred to as House of Guys, House of Pies has, as the name suggests, a plethora of kick-ass homemade pies and, as the nickname suggests, a plethora of guys hanging out at any given time as well. They also boast a ton of offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, from omelets to burgers to pork chops. Now, their idea of “on the light side” is chopped steak, a tuna boat, and a baked potato, so think "diner," not "house of healthy eating." But when you’re in the mood for pies and food – and gay men galore – late at night, House of Pies is an A-1 pick for sure.

Tan Tan has it all, including fried rice, spring rolls, noodle soups, congee, pan-fried noodles, and sizzling platters. But the stars of the show are their hot pots. If you’ve never taken part in hot pot eating, you are in for a serious treat. The food is brought to your table raw and you cook it up right there at the table. You control the temp and the ingredients. And, after a night on the town, it’s a great way to wind down, recap the night, and enjoy some seriously good eats.
