Memorial/Energy Corridor

Vine Memorial, inaugurated in January 2024, is Gr8 Plate Hospitality’s flagship retail wine shop and wine bar. The 2,544-square-foot location boasts more than 200 hand-selected bottles from across the globe, chosen by the owners and accomplished restaurateurs and sommeliers Paul Miller and Doris Miller, and general manager Jim Harvey along with renowned Master Sommelier Guy Stout.

James Lundy, who serves as executive chef over the Gr8 Plate concepts, has created a menu of bites to pair the curated wines and bubbles with a selection of charcuterie boards, pizzas, sandwiches and salads.

Vine Memorial is also offering a series of wine education classes and tastings, as well as an approachable and aggressively priced retail wine selection.

Originally home to the old Memorial Wine Cellar, the remodeled location, designed by Doris Miller, features, among other details, an Oil Man’s Lounge – a nod to the surrounding Energy Corridor – a private wine room with seating for up to 24 guests and A/V capabilities.

Conveniently located near the Tanglewood and Hunters Creek Village districts near I-10 and Chimney Rock Road, Vine Memorial is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Houston-based Gr8 Plate Hospitality is led by restaurateur Paul Miller and his wife Doris Miller, who were jointly named 2018 Restaurateur of the Year by the Greater Houston Restaurant Association. Gr8 Plate operates 10 Houston-area restaurants, including five The Union Kitchen locations (Memorial, Kingwood, Ella, Cypress, Katy), two Jax Grill locations (Bellaire, Shepherd), two Passerella locations (Cypress, Washington Avenue), and its newest concept, Vine Memorial.
