Longtime fans of the Upper Kirby area’s Tiny Boxwoods have always known that the restaurant’s chocolate chip cookies are what dreams are made of. Sure, the refined café draws regulars for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but those visits are usually punctuated with at least one of Baron Doke’s signature cookies, which inspired the Houston company to expand its reach in fall 2016 with a brick and mortar venture dubbed Tiny’s Milk and Cookies.
The walk-up bakery, built into the side of West U’s Tiny No. 5, unfolds in a refined country storefront space marked by ship-lap walls, rustic barn doors and oversized windows that offer guests a peek at the company’s ice cream, cookies and other treats. While the signature cookies are not to be missed, Tiny’s has added a solid mix of housemade ice cream to its offerings in flavors like Honey Lavender, Salted Caramel and a dairy-free coconut milk chocolate. There is also a full espresso menu, breakfast tacos on Fridays and fresh-squeezed juice.
Tiny’s Milk & Cookies is open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
