The West End

In July 2012, Houston’s Galleria-area shopping district made room for a new British gastropub concept, The West End, much to the delight of area professionals and happy hour hopefuls.

Created by PJ Jamea and Hossein Oskouie, the food-focused bar offers patrons more than 50 craft beers, cocktails and a menu loaded with everything from burgers and wings to chicken samosa quesadillas and fish & chips. Named after the fashionable area of Central London, the offbeat bar pays homage to the folks across the pond with quirky public house-themed history lessons adorning the wall and references to A Clockwork Orange throughout the space. Outside, an expansive patio proves popular with the after-work crowd, while also setting the scene for live-music performances.

The West End is open daily from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
