Fashion-forward Houston guys have always had a tougher time than the fairer sex when it comes to unique places to shop for threads. But that's changing with the arrival of a few solid boutiques for discerning gentlemen, including the latest Q Custom Clothier.

Set in the trendy West Ave., Dallas-based Q offers high-end, made to measure shirts and suits created from hundreds of fabric options, assembled in custom shops in Europe and shipped direct. The shop will also have a sister boutique next door, Rye51, which will offer more casual options from the likes of Diesel, Earnest Sewn and John Varvatos?oh and did we mention a whiskey bar?

Maybe one of the best selling points of shopping at Q and Rye is the shops' proximity to that bastion of  local women's fashion, Tootsies. So while ladies shop for the perfect dress and matching stilettos, guys can relax with a sip of whiskey and even grab a new pair of jeans.
