This upscale steakhouse has been a landmark on the national dining scene for decades. Now a $5 million renovation has transformed Houston’s Palm restaurant into a modern white tablecloth experience.
With its Italian-tinged menu and historic pictures of Houston on the walls, the local Palm exudes class. The restaurant is known best for its version of surf and turf (we’re talking big lobsters folks) and decadent Italian fare such as veal piccata and linguine with clam sauce. Also not to be missed: the goat cheese whipped potatoes and the Brussels sprouts in lemon brown butter.
The 9,000-square-foot space offers a long, elegant bar and several private dining spaces in addition to the main dining room. The Palm’s huge renovation is also setting the tone for renovations at the chain’s other restaurants around the country.
