On the Kirb

Health-conscious revelers are going to want to high tail it to On the Kirb. The West U-area sports bar is turning the traditional pub concept on its ear, all starting with an untraditional bar menu. Sure, there are plenty of opportunities to watch a game on one of the venue’s many HDTVs, but On the Kirb’s real claim to fame is its culinary offerings, which start with organic fruits, vegetables and humanly-raised, all natural beef and chicken.

Inside, the owners outfitted the space with a mix of banquette, low-top and bar seating, all offering clear views to one of more than a dozen TVs. Find a seat and choose from stone-baked pizzas, tacos, wraps and surf and turf options. Beer lovers will appreciate the selection of local craft brew—Karbach, Saint Arnold and 8th Wonder, for example—while others can dig into the cocktail menu promising refreshing options like cucumber martinis and blue ritas.
