Mikoto Ramen

West Houston residents are getting in on the national ramen craze with the April 2016 opening of Mikoto Ramen. Situated in an unsuspecting strip mall along the Katy Freeway, the spacious restaurant aims to introduce the classic Japanese soul food to area patrons, while also offering sushi, sashimi and other signature Japanese dishes.

Executive chef, Chef Ame, mans the stoves, after training in Japan and honing his talent preparing Japanese cuisine. Here, he slow brews the broth for the noodle dish for up to 12 hours, allowing the ingredients to emulsify into each drop of the broth. Guests looking beyond the ramen bowl will also find teishoku (a Japanese set meal) and an array of sushi rolls and sashimi on offer.

Mikoto Ramen is open for lunch and dinner, daily.
