Local Foods - Heights
Fans of Benjy Levit’s wildly popular Local Foods were excited when the restaurateur opened a Heights location in early 2018. The Heights location in the Mercantile features an expansive patio facing the bike trail, the shops first free standing juice bar and a seasonal menu with locally-sourced ingredients. The fast-casual, walk-up counter concept features soups, salads and sandwiches that highlight many locally-sourced products, as well as a raw bar and ceviche program—a first for the brand.
Guests can explore the ever-changing menu of grab-and-go items and will find that almost every ingredient used in the restaurant’s menu is available for sale, including local produce, homemade artisan snacks, as well as other Texas-derived products.
The sandwich and salads menu features house smoked salmon, with local greens, red onion jam and poppy seed bagel; housemade pastrami, with caraway sauerkraut, smoked provolone and whole grain beer mustard; duck confit panini, with melted brie, arugula and cranberry preserve; pepper-crusted sirloin salad, with broccoli, sesame sprouts, mint-kefir lime vinaigrette and black rice crumble. And that’s just the start.
Stop by for lunch and dinner, daily.
