West Houston continues to see an influx of new dining options as Kuu recently opened in the Gateway Memorial City Complex. The upscale Asian fusion concept serves artistically plated sushi, as well as hot and cold options, in a chic space designed by local architect, Si Dang.

Executive chef Adison Lee, protégé of famed celeb chef Nobu Matsuhisa and talent at Midtown’s shuttered Sushi Raku , is leading the contemporary Japanese concept. Kuu, which translates to “the art of eating” is reflected in the creatively crafted and eye-catching options. Seasonal ingredients shine in items like the kanpachi with Texas orange and yuzu garlic soy, as well as the butternut squash miso soup.

Kuu is open for lunch and dinner daily.
