Kick Pleat Boutique

When Wendi Koletar, founder of Austin’s Kick Pleat Boutique, decided to expand her shop outside the capitol, she knew Houston was the most logical extension. After 13 years operating in ATX, the shop is making a new home at the intersection of Kirby Drive and Westheimer Road.

In the 2,565-square-foot space, famed Austin architect Michael Hsu has created a calm respite reflective of the company’s classic yet understated aesthetic. On the racks, clients can find Apiece Apart ponchos and Black Crane coats alongside draped Shaina Mote skirts and Dusan sweater dresses. If those designer names don’t sound familiar, rest easy, Koletar is known for stocking her shop with transitional pieces by under-the-radar New York and Parisian designers that are often exclusive to Kick Pleat.  

The store is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
