Settled almost discreetly right beside Hando, a handroll restaurant in the Heights, Kanpai Club dishes out small plates and unique cocktails.
Designed as an alleyway, the bar seats 10 in an intimate setting. Guests can enjoy dishes like shishito peppers and gyoza while sipping on cleverly titled cocktails like Sweet Gin Music, a mixture of Roku gin, genepy, shishito, lime and habanero or Tokyo Layover, a combination of Bruxo mezcal, aperol, vecchio, lemon and yuzu kosho. Some dishes like the curry fries and spicy edamame are only offered late at night — after 10 p.m. on weeknights and 11 p.m. on weekends.
Guests are invited to enjoy Kanpai’s laid back atmosphere before or after visiting Hando or to stop in just for a small taste of Hando and a crafty beverage.
