Museum District

Founded in 1958, the Jung Center offers over one hundred courses, programs, and conferences every year that address the critical social and spiritual issues of our time as well as the need for personal growth and development.

Every year the Jung Center offers three semesters of courses that challenge the intellect and the soul. Contemporary voices in psychology, religion, and the humanities engage their students in conversations with ancient wisdom traditions on the problem of meaning in personal and cultural, local and global contexts. The Jung Center is the only facility of its kind in the world that equally emphasizes analytic psychology and the expressive arts of dance, art, music, and body work.

Originally an art gallery, the Carolyn Grant Fay building is located in the heart of the museum district. As an adjunct to its programs, the Jung Center displays exhibits featuring local, national, and internationally known artists throughout the year that are open to the public. The Center has also exhibited photos as part of the international Foto Fest held biennially in Houston. An integral part of the Center's programs, the Center's Bookstore and Library provide an extensive breadth of books in the fields of psychology, religion, and the expressive arts. Members and students may check out books from the library, and the general public is welcome to browse and read.
