Museum District

Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (HCCC) is one of the few venues in the country dedicated exclusively to craft at the highest level, highlighting art made of clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, or found/repurposed materials. Visitors can see thought-provoking exhibitions, tour the studios of working artists, participate in hands-on programming, or explore the Craft Garden. Shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts, jewelry, and craft objects is available at Asher: Off the Wall, located in the lobby.

Admission is always free. View all events.

Asher: Off the Wall

Located in the lobby, the store offers visitors a unique and curated selection of jewelry, wearables, books, games, and handcrafted objects. Select items from the current exhibitions and resident artists are also for sale in HCCC’s galleries and studios. A portion of all proceeds supports working craft artists from Houston and beyond.
