Demeris is a family-owned-and-operated business that's been serving up traditional Texas barbecue in Houston since 1964. Three locations make the restaurant accessible to anyone with a craving for baby back ribs, jalapeno sausage and beans. Steaks, shrimp and chicken are also on the menu. Demeris is run by the same family who, for years, provided the service at Carol's Kitchen on South Shepherd and Shipley's Grill on West Gray.
Demeris also has a catering division that has been constantly developing and can now accommodate functions for as many as 20,000 people. With this evolution, menus now go beyond BBQ and range from filet mignon to shrimp brochette, which allows them to cater to all kinds of occasions.
They are open for lunch and (early) dinner Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
