Burns Original BBQ
Searching for a home-style Texas barbecue joint inside city limits? Take a little drive up I-45 north, just beyond downtown, to Burns Original BBQ. What started in 1973 by Roy Burns Sr. as a small business venture has grown into a must-try hotspot.
More than 40 years later, Burn Original BBQ is still serving up smoky barbecue out of the original building where it all started. Popular to the menu is their signature rib sandwich and loaded baked potato. The three meat dinner is also a winner, offering a taste of almost everything. Their combination of ribs, sliced brisket and spicy sausage links alongside traditional fixings such as baked beans and potato salad is almost unbeatable, that is until you’ve tried the “Regulars”—the irregular parts of ribs and sausage with a kick of flavor that aren’t considered prime selection for regular menu items. Douse them in Burns’ Original Barbecue Sauce for a signiture sensation.
