After the success of the first location in Uptown, Piatto has opened a second Italian eatery in the Heights neighborhood. John Marion Carrabba ensures that Piatto plates up colorful, Americanized Italian classics. Try meaty lasagna with layers of cheese and sauce; rich crab-stuffed shrimp and orzo fluffed with asparagus and peppers; chilled baby greens with walnuts, feta and grapefruit segments.

Don't miss the gently fried asparagus with crab meat and killer calamari with pepperoncini. For dessert, butter cake is a must, ethereal with big berries and luscious whipped-cream icing.
