Heights-area restaurateur Ken Bridge—the brain behind Dragon Bowl Asian Bistro and Pink’s Pizza—is at it again. This time, Bridge is bringing the charming inner-loop area Lola, a spot serving upscale comfort food, in a space that once housed an Eckerd drug store.

Inside, the urban-minimalist interior is cheery and eclectic. Florescent, yellow-and-lime colored walls are offset by exposed ventilation ducts, subway tile accents, pendant lighting and a beautiful, wooden counter. Along the perimeter, large windows add to the restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere, shining sunlight over rows of diner-style tables and booths.

Lola serves nearby residents and locals breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with a menu that’s as offbeat as its décor. Offerings range from chicken & waffles and meatloaf cabernet to chicken fried chicken and root beer floats.
