Leibman’s Eatery, Market, Gifts

Those who visited Leibman’s Eatery, Market, Gifts on Memorial Drive and Kirkwood before it closed will find the same impressive selection of wines, prepared foods, gourmet food products and gifts they were used to at its new digs near Memorial City Mall. Opened by Ettienne and Ralph Leibman in 1979, this gourmet deli has been a staple in Houston for lunch, coffee or to pick up dinner to go. In 2017, Liebman’s closed its doors to move to a new location and Ettienne passed the torch to her daughter, Sharon.

The new Liebman’s is set in a beautiful, modernized locale decked with booths, beautiful light fixtures, copper accents and teal accent walls. You can enjoy the same delicious sandwiches (we love the Reuben and Club), a new menu of heartier entrees that includes a burger and a 44 Farms hanger steak, as well as tasty salads (the chicken salad afrique is a must). In the cases near the front, choose from Liebman’s impressive selection of chocolate truffles and other sweets. Their in-house products, such as the cheese straws, are also back and a must-try.

For those who love entertaining but not the hard work of cooking, Liebman’s has an expansive catering menu. And if you need a gift, you’ll find pretty dish towels, candles, wines and more. Liebman’s is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
