Killen’s of the Heights
Inspired by memories of his grandmother’s home cooking and family dinners, Killen’s of the Heights focuses on southern comfort dishes, although some recipes are a throwback to his five other restaurant concepts.
Classic southern staples make up the menu at the new Killen's, including buttermilk fried chicken, chicken fried steak, fried catfish, meatloaf, chicken pot pie, smothered pork chops and smoked short rib with coffee barbecue sauce. Lip-smacking country sides include classics like mac & cheese, collard greens, creamed corn, fried okra, white corn grits, black eyed peas, butter beans and of course fried green tomatoes. Diners can top off any meal with irresistible sweet comforts like German chocolate cake, peach bread pudding, pecan pie or carrot cake.
