Jewelry designer Gina Cartwright and stylist Jennifer Grigsby’s fashionably-chic Cakewalk Style Shop has existed since 2010, though it wasn’t until December 2011 that the online-only concept kicked open its shop doors for the public to experience.
Set on the second floor of an unassuming property—near the intersection of Westheimer and Shepherd—Cakewalk touts a mix of designer clothing and accessories from well-known brands and rising-star designers. Labels like Current/Elliot, CC Skye and Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent line the cheerful space, along with Lane Boots, Nation LTD and even Cartwright’s jewelry collection.
