Blanco Tacos + Tequila

This popular Mexican chain from Arizona has landed in The Galleria in Houston, bringing with it a full menu of tacos, burrito bowls, enchiladas and fajitas. Owned by Fox Restaurant Concepts, which also owns North Italia and Flower Child, Blanco Tacos + Tequila is known for its varied tequilas lists and tasty tacos.

Blanco’s welcoming dining room has sleek wood furniture and colorful accents, like a neon sign that reads “Te Amo Tequila” surrounded by colorful tiles on one of its walls. Its outdoor patio is perfect to enjoy a margarita or one of the restaurant’s cocktails with friends. A section of the menu aptly titled “Drinking Together is Better than Drinking Alone” offers choices made for groups. Take the Mi Casa es Tu Casa, which comes with a round of four small margaritas and a bucket of beer.

From the menu, try the restaurant’s short rib machaca bowl, which comes with caramelized peppers and onions, yellow cheese and an ancho chile sauce. Choose from wagyu steak, chicken, shrimp and veggie fajitas or enjoy shareable starters like guacamole, nachos, or queso with a nice drink.

Blanco offers happy hour Monday to Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., and is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
