Established in 2012, this luxury boutique is tucked away in an historic Montrose bungalow with limited parking in front, though parking on the nearby intersecting street is always an option as well. Alira’s goal is focusing on the cultivation and restoration of mind, body, and soul. Owner Escarle Silva is a licensed esthetician who has previously worked with cosmetic firms such as Yves Saint Laurent, Elizabeth Arden and Clarins. Facial treatments like masks made with fresh ingredients are meant to invigorate and hydrate, while the Eclipse MicroPen Treatment uses automated micro-needling to treat fine lines, acne scars, hyper-pigmentation, and even stretch marks. The VIP facial treatment comes highly recommended for shrinking enlarged pores, treating dry or irritated skin, and fade dark eye circles or puffy eyes. Massages offered include deep tissue, sports and prenatal, aromatherapy, and couple’s massages. Waxing services, eyelash extensions, and microblading are available as well as cutting, styling, and makeup services for weddings or special events.
Alira’s homey feel works with the 1925 bungalow’s design instead of against it, making fine use of the original brick fireplace as a cozy centerpiece in the waiting room. The front desk and salon area are highlighted by quirky lighting fixtures and fresh flowers. The mint front door ties in with the pops of cool mint and teal accents on the trim inside, with the rich hues of the original gleaming hardwood floors sprawling throughout.
