The Normal Anomaly Initiative is in its fourth year of the Black Queer Advancement Festival. Black Queer AF (BQAF) Week 2025, is set to take place in Houston, Texas from April 26 - May 4. This year’s theme, "VISIBILITY," isn’t just a word—it’s a rallying cry. It’s about creating a platform for Black queer+ voices to rise louder than ever before. BQAF has grown into a national staple for the Black LGBTQ+ community, drawing attendees from across the U.S. to revel in a rare space where they feel truly seen and celebrated. Every year, thousands of guests come to Houston to immerse themselves in a dynamic weekend of music, art, activism, and connection, with a focus on TGNC communities, women, and people living with and affected by HIV. At a time when creative expression and identity are under attack, BQAF goes beyond celebration; it’s an act of solidarity. From live music to immersive community events, this week-long affair serves as an open invitation to everyone who values unity, love, and freedom of expression. Headlined by our Proud Ally, NLE Choppa, it promises to be an unforgettable event.
