The bunnies are back for another year of festive fun, philanthropy, and community! Join the team from Bunnies on the Bayou on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, from 1 pm to 6 pm, along with other queer partygoers and allies, as they gather in Sesquicentennial Park (400 Texas Ave, Houston, TX 77002) for one of the biggest annual LGBTQ+ parties in Houston. Marking their 46th year, the organizers promise the same high-quality event that has made the annual party one that is not to be missed for decades, and tickets are on sale now!

Thousands will gather in Downtown Houston for a quintessentially queer Easter afternoon, but the weekend kicks off on Saturday, April 19 at the Hop and Slay Queen Brunch. Taking place at Chapman & Kirby in East Downtown, the kickoff event will include an all-you-can-eat brunch, featured cocktails, and fierce themed performances. Brunch performances are at 12 pm and 3 pm, with doors opening 30 minutes prior to show time, and 10% of proceeds going back to Bunnies on the Bayou to support their ongoing fundraising efforts.

Bunnies on the Bayou raises and distributes funds for various charitable, educational, and cultural programs that seek to improve the quality of life and promote education and awareness of human rights for individuals in the Houston LGBT community, according to the organization’s website. Having raised over $1.7 million for programs supporting underrepresented communities, the annual Bunnies on the Bayou Easter Sunday event is the perfect way to let loose and give back all at the same time.

The event relies on volunteers from the community to make the event a success each and every year. For those looking to attend the bunny bash and give back in ways other than financially, volunteer opportunities are available for the big day. The option to select a nonprofit beneficiary directly supports that organization, so volunteers should choose wisely and celebrate extra hard knowing they made a difference. Volunteer positions are available for sign-up now via the Bunnies on the Bayou volunteer page.
