challenge to determine a top people's choice winner.
CultureMap is producing the Last Chef Standing challenge which will culminate in a live tasting event on April 9. The goal of the contest is to increase local awareness for Houston's internationally-recognized culinary scene.
Participating restaurants include Samba Grille, Blu Lounge and Restaurant, Ava Kitchen and Whiskey Bar, Alto, Max's Wine Dive, The Grove, Mockingbird Bistro and more. Restaurants will be eliminated over the course of five rounds.
The live sampling and judging event on April 9 will be held at Hotel ZaZa from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. To purchase tickets to event, visit culturemap.com/last-chef. Ticket proceeds benefit Houston Food Bank and Houston Public Media.
Online voting for the challenge begins Monday March 19.
